Figure Photos: C.C. of Code Geass R2 Lelouch of the Rebellion

Impulse buying leads me to this. I was just checking out the figures in a local game store when I spotted this goddess hiding behind the glass.

I was not actually planning on spending any cash that day but she was just so gorgeous and lonely inside the glass display that some evil, unseen jerk convinced me into buying it. (Okay, that unseen jerk is the figure collector ghost in me. LOL)

Anyway, I just wanted to post a couple of shots that I took one night. To eliminate excessive noise, I made use of the new tripod my mom bought for me for my video blogging. I love my mom! :)

C.C. is one of the main characters of Code Geass R2 Lelouch of the Rebellion. She is the one who gave Lelouch, the main character, his commanding power named Geass in exchange for something. What is it? Why don't you watch the anime to find out? :)

No spoilers here, of course!

I used my study lamp as the light and a green filter. I really thnk the color GREEN represents C.C.
My friend commented that this photo is so wrong. LOL
UPDATES:
I won second place in in a Christmas party hosted by our club! Yaay! More on that soon!

Figure Photos - Ryuk of Death Note

I almost forgot about these photos that I took a months weeks ago. What I love about Ryuk is his joy when receiving apples from Light. I also love his no-care character sometimes. It makes me smile every time he pulls it off.

See my old watermark? Yeah, these photos are that old. :)

More photos of Ryuk  as soon as I have time creating a real figure studio. Can't wait for that to happen!

Money well spent: Perona figure and Contact Lenses!

Been inactive because of my hospital duty. I have been assigned in the operating room from 3pm to 11pm for the past two days now. In the morning, I prepare what I need for the shift and when I get home, I just slump to my bed and sleep. LOL.

Anyway, yesterday I received  two things I splurged my one week allowance into. I was not actually expecting both to come at the same time, but yeah. :D

A pair of Peronas...
First is a pair of chibi figures of Perona!

Remember Lara from my previous post? Well, she bought a set of three chibi figs from Manila and she sold these two to me since she only wanted to keep one.

I really love Perona! I want to take photos of these babies like the one I did on my other Perona fig. Maybe this time, I'll have the time to build a proper studio for this shoot!

A package from GWYSHOP!
So here's a photo of the package that arrived at my mom's office.

Yeah, about that. I always have my packages sent to my mom's office because most of the time, nobody's home to receive it.

The package contains two pairs of lenses from GWYSHOP! :) I have not opened it yet because I am planning to write a review on the lenses. I want to cover everything, from the packaging and all. Presentation counts, right?

I bought them for 499php only, free shipping! It's a new line of contact lenses from the shop, with one year life span and 14.8mm in diameter. One pair is purple, for my Lelouch cosplay and the other is gray - for that Sayuri of Memoirs of a Geisha makeup experiment.

Oh yeah, the free shipping promo only applies when you shop worth of 400php from the GWYSHOP MULTIPLY ACCOUNT. What are you waiting for? :)

I was glad to find both pairs in one shop. Plus the awesome promo is awesome! I hope I can find extra time very soon to write the lens review. Can't wait!

Thank you Gwyshop for the awesome transaction!

Figure Photos - Sebastian Michaelis of Black Butler

Missed blogging! I got a little busy by the start of the month. I will try my best on keeping up and blogging more on cosplay soon. For now, a couple of photos I took of Sebby-chan with a hotdog sandwich and a cup of shake.

Actually those are erasers, but I think they work as props for figures too! Especially for nendoroids. :)

These are just trial shots though. I am planning to build a mini studio for capturing real photos of my figures. Hope I can find time to do it!

Figure Photos - Perona of One Piece

So I bought a new figure to add to my collection - Perona of One Piece. I am actually not a big One Piece fan but I have watched a few episodes from the anime. What I love about this series are the gorgeous female characters - may it be a mermaid, a pirate or a royalty - and Perona is one them. This made me want to buy the figure from that shop the moment I saw it.  LOL And I just swore the day before I bought the figure that I will start cost-cutting for my next cosplay. Oh well. A little figure won't hurt my savings.

On with the photos! This one is a full body shot of the figure. I want that flat stomach. @_@

Anyway, I still can't shake off my addiction to portrait shots. So the entire set consists of portrait shots of the figure taken by my bedroom window.

I am planning to buy scale figures next and maybe construct a real figure photography setup soon. Can't wait!
