Anime Movie Review: Lupin III VS Detective Conan

Lupin the Third versus Detective Conan is a crossover movie of two anime series, Detective Conan and Lupin III. Conan was tasked solve a mystery in a foreign country while Lupin was determined to rob the coronation crown of that same country.

I'm a big fan of the Detective Conan series. I love how Conan solve mysteries using his awesome deductive skills.
Lupin is part of my childhood. I have been watching this series, though not religiously, since I was a kid. His crazy antics made me laugh and his amazing wit and intelligence is really impressive, despite his 'lazy-ass' looks.

In contrast to the given title of the movie, Conan and Lupin did not go against each other. Rather, they worked together in a funny way to solve the mystery surrounding the royal family of Vespania.

Lupin's role reminded me so much of Kaito Kid's in one of the Detective Conan movies, The Last Wizard of the Century: Lupin helping Conan in solving the mystery by disguising as one of Conan's allies.

Maybe next time, they'll create a real Lupin versus Conan film (the two going against each other). I bet that would be awesome!

Anime Review: Kimi ni Todoke

So I think this is a new topic for my blog, the ANIME REVIEW! I want to share a few things about the anime I have finished watching to help you guys in choosing the right anime to watch for your taste.

First one, KIMI NI TODOKE!

This is the cutest Kimi ni Todoke cosplay photo I found on the web!
Click on the photo for the source. :)
Sawako is a misunderstood girl in her class. She was always avoided by her classmates because of her creepy appearance and rumors of being cursed when getting close to her. Her classmates often called her Sadako from the movie The Ring because of her slight resemblance to the character. Despite that, she always tried making friends to the best of her abilities. Then, all of this started to change when when Kazehaya, a popular guy in her school, started talking to her and making friends with her.

A screen shot of the anime from the first episode.
What attracted me to this anime is the unique creation of the characters. I like the way their eyes and bodies were drawn like it was so close to reality. No crazy-long bodies, no out-of-this-world hair style and color. And no ugly characters. Everybody was good-looking, even the antagonists!

Season One: 25 episodes
Season Two: 12 episodes

Figure Photos - Sebastian Michaelis of Black Butler

Missed blogging! I got a little busy by the start of the month. I will try my best on keeping up and blogging more on cosplay soon. For now, a couple of photos I took of Sebby-chan with a hotdog sandwich and a cup of shake.

Actually those are erasers, but I think they work as props for figures too! Especially for nendoroids. :)

These are just trial shots though. I am planning to build a mini studio for capturing real photos of my figures. Hope I can find time to do it!
