CEEeats: Simple Onion Rings Recipe

Being stuck in quarantine has made me very creative and pushed myself in creating a yummy way to make onion rings using regular ingredients one can find in the kitchen.

Let us start immediately with the ingredients:

♡ 1 bulb of white onion
♡ 1 cup of all-purpose flour
♡ Salt and pepper
♡ 2 packs of plain crackers
♡ 1 egg
♡ 2 cups of cooking oil
♡ 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise

Preparing the ingredients:

☆ Cut the onion about half an inch length or to any size you desire.
☆ In one bowl, beat the egg together with the mayonnaise and mix well.
☆ Crush the two packs of crackers and pour contents in a different bowl.
☆ Mix the flour with salt and pepper to taste.

Coating the onions:

◇ Firstly, take a piece of onion ring and cover it with the flour mixture

◇ Secondly, dip the flour-covered ring in the mayo-egg mix

◇ Thirdly, dip the flour and egg covered ring and completely  over every part with the crushed crackers.

◇ Do this with every piece of ring available

Cooking the coated rings:

♧ In a pan or pot, pour in the cooking oil and wait for it to get hot.
♧ Cook the rings unti golden brown.
♧ Let it cool in a plate with paper towels, letting the excess oil drain out.
♧ Serve hot with ketchup and mayo dip.
